With so much thanks to Yumiko Okuyama, Bev & I welcome
to our Kalinya Siamese Cattery
Arriving in to our Australian
Quarantine Station from Japan 16th October 2013, Yumi
has travelled very well and thankfully without incident.  He
has a fabulous nature which is a credit to his breeder. Our
pursuit when contacting Yumiko was to acquire a male who
would compliment the look of our girl Oriemme. As you can
see from the pics of Yumi and above of Oriemme, this has
been achieved. Now it will be up to nature to see what
continues from breeding these two together.

Genetically, Yumi comes with strong, sound lines primarily
from USA. In particular, the very well credentialed Azorez,
the older Bel Canto and the well performed Geishagoll
mixed with Maithai, Felitan, Lilliput, Magnifikat and even a
little Australian in Jolinda.

Australian "pure" Siamese breeders, with their recent
investment in importing outcrosses, will continue to be able
to provide strong, robust, healthy Siamese.

As at November 15th, 2013
Yumi is in our home. Once
again our many thanks to Yumi's breeder, Yumiko
Okuyama  :)))))) and to his special carer whilst in
quarantine, Di Stokes.

Kalinya OM Jazzi is our most recent addition to the future of Kalinya and
Siamese. With dad Outback now aged 14-1/2 it is time to ensure that the lines he
carries remain with us. Jazzi is a very nice type with lovely ear size & placement,
terrific eye shape and a much deeper blue eye colour than Mum or Dad. She is
developing into a lovely long, slender girl with a long whip-like tail to best balance.
Jazzi will meet our Yumi some time in the future when hopefully she has matured &
reached at least 12 months of age.
We look forward with excitement as to what this mating will produce. Genetic
strength will be assured.

Jontelle with Grandma Oriemme 171216
Born 11th October  2016
Kalinya GJ Jontelle has been allowed to stay here at Kalinya to continue the
legacy of her dad Kalinya MO Gentilhomme (Jonty) thereby maintaining the
previously lost lines of Kaloke Mandu and Blakewood Oriemme. Jontelle is a
chocolate point with a very nice type, fabuolous head with lovely ear size &
placement, terrific eye shape and a really nice personality. As a youngster, she
lacks a little in body length and tail length and her coat is tending to be a little long.
We will watch with interest how she develops as she matures in to a breeding
Jontelle has enjoyed early success on the show bench, winning Best Group 2
Exhibit and a number of Best in Group Kitten awards.

Jontelle's maturing to a meeting with our Yumi and motherhood is waited for with
anticipation and excitement to see what further develops for Kalinya Siamese. We
look forward to hopefully some babies very early 2018 to rehome around May
2018. .

Unfortunately Jontelle & Nature have not agreed with Nature deciding that Jontelle
was not too have babies. The painstaking decision to have her desexed was made
thereby ending our Jonty's line. Jontelle will spend her life at Kalinya as a defacto
Mum supporting other Mum's with their motherhood.

Kalinya GJ Quinlan is an exceptional Siamese in so many ways and once he was
found to be too much to handle due to his extravert nature by his originakl owner
and returned to us, he was allowed to stay here at Kalinya.to remind us as Jontelle
of their dad Kalinya MO Gentilhomme (Jonty). and his mum Blakewood Oriemme.
